No authoritative local source established a standard release hour, exit door, family waiting area, weekend schedule, property-return procedure, transport aid, or standard bond schedule. Ask whether the release order arrived, another hold remains, the person has physically left, pickup is permitted, property is ready, or another agency is receiving custody. Do not rely on an assumed waiting place.
The sheriff’s forms material reports administrative availability on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 to 4:00 and Wednesday from 11:00 to 7:00. Those are not verified jail-release or records-counter hours. A court can enter an order before jail staff receive and process it, and a hold can delay departure after the underlying county matter changes. Cameron Prison Names Are Misleading
Cameron spans Clinton and DeKalb Counties, which creates a local search trap. Crossroads Correctional Center and the former Western Missouri Correctional Center are DeKalb County campuses, not Clinton County Jail facilities. MODOC reports that the last Crossroads prisoners transferred out on July 12, 2019. It describes former Western Missouri space as repurposed for corrections training. An old facility profile can therefore be wrong about both present use and county.
For an arrest described only as “in Cameron,” identify the arresting agency, arrest location, and receiving jail before choosing a portal.
