Clinton County Release Mugshots and Arrest Records
A booking photograph is created during a custody episode and can remain part of the arrest or booking record after the person leaves Clinton County Jail. The live roster and the underlying record do not have the same life span. A portal image may vanish when a booking closes even though the sheriff still holds a releasable photo.
Missouri’s Sunshine Law presumes public governmental records are open unless another law closes them, but that presumption does not make every image automatically available. Juvenile, expunged, sealed, investigative, victim-related, security, medical, and other protected material can restrict disclosure. RSMo § 610.100 addresses arrest reports and circumstances in which portions may be closed. A requester should seek the booking event and photograph, not an entire investigative file.
The photo proves what image an agency associated with a booking or corrections record. It does not show that the person was convicted, that the case remained open, or that the person is still held. The sheriff’s release disposition and the court docket answer different questions.
Where Clinton County Release Mugshots May Appear
Each source has a different scope. The Clinton County jail image, a MODOC offender photo, and a registry photo should never be labeled as though they are interchangeable. Use the agency and record date in the caption or notes.

MOVANS can help track a custody event but is not established as the durable booking-photo archive. A MOVANS status should be used for notification and then checked against the sheriff’s booking or release record.
Check the Clinton County Booking Portal Photo
The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office sends its “View All Inmates” link to getinmate.info/ccm. That makes the vendor page the sheriff-selected online jail channel. Inspect the matching booking detail for a photograph, name, booking number, date, charges, and current status fields actually shown. Do not infer a field that the live page does not display.
The captured portal image illustrates the official online starting point. It does not promise that a booking photograph will remain visible after release.

Write down the portal’s update time and the booking identifier so the same image can be requested from the sheriff if the online entry later closes.
A current name and photo show a live portal record as of its update. A missing name can mean release, transfer, correction, a search mismatch, or a system update. Request a Clinton County Release Mugshot
A named Sunshine request is the durable county-source fallback. Address it to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, 207 N. Main St., Suite 6, Plattsburg, MO 64477, telephone 816-539-2156. The county records page also lists records_request@clintoncomo.gov as a central request route while stating that each office handles its own records. Ask for the correct sheriff custodian when necessary.
- Identify the person by full name and another known identifier, such as date of birth.
- Give the approximate arrest or booking date and the local booking number when known.
- Ask for the original electronic, publicly releasable booking photograph tied to that booking.
- Request the related public booking and release-disposition sheet so the photo is not separated from its event.
- Ask for electronic delivery, a fee estimate, and notice before costs exceed a set limit.
- If material is denied, ask for the cited legal basis and for open portions to be separated from closed material.
Section 610.023 requires the custodian to act as soon as possible and generally by the end of the third business day. If production cannot occur then, the response should explain the delay and earliest availability. Section 610.026 allows reasonable costs for copies, research, and staff time. The response deadline is not a guarantee of three-day production.
A concise request can say: “Under Chapter 610, RSMo, please provide the publicly releasable booking photograph and booking/release-disposition record for [name], booked on or about [date]. Electronic delivery is preferred. Please advise before incurring fees above [cap].”
Clinton County Mugshot Retention Is Not Promised
The sheriff-selected portal may display an image while the person is listed, but no reviewed official source promises that a photo stays online after the booking closes. Nor did the sources state a public portal archive length. This uncertainty is why the booking number and dated request matter.
Portal disappearance does not erase the underlying record, and it does not prove release. Ask the sheriff whether the booking was closed by bond, recognizance, dismissal, time served, sentence completion, transfer, or another event. A transfer to MODOC, another county, USMS, or ICE is not a community release.
Note: Preserve the source, access date, agency, and booking number with any lawful copy so the photo is not stripped of context.
Avoid the Wrong Clinton County Mugshot App
Search results can confuse Clinton County, Missouri with Clinton County, Ohio. A prominent MobilePatrol result belongs to Ohio, uses a 937 telephone number, and is tied to clintonsheriff.com. The Missouri sheriff uses clintoncosheriff.org and 816 telephone numbers. No Missouri Clinton County sheriff app with a verified release-photo feature was established.
The Missouri sheriff site’s web-app platform does not prove that an inmate-photo mobile app exists. Likewise, Missouri DPS states that MobilePatrol and Missouri Sheriff Connect are not affiliated with MOVANS. Do not use an app merely because the county name matches. Confirm the state, agency domain, phone code, and reporting facility before opening or saving an image.
For current local-jail event alerts, Missouri’s verified route is MOVANS by SMS or email. That notification channel should not be described as the source of a permanent mugshot gallery.
State Photos After a Clinton County Release
The MODOC Offender Web Search can display an offender photograph when the person remains active under state authority. Search by DOC ID when known because it is more reliable than name alone. Compare age or birth information, sentence county, offense, and institution or field-office data. An active record may describe prison custody, probation, parole, or conditional release.
A MODOC image is a state corrections photo, not necessarily the Clinton County booking photograph. The public name search expressly excludes discharged offenders. For a fully discharged person, use the nightly all-offender data to identify the record and then request a releasable historical photograph from MODOC. The data file itself is not a photo gallery.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol registry may display a photo only for a person with a current legal duty to register. Its status labels do not establish the county release date. A registry absence says nothing about most released people. Label any registry image precisely and verify details with the registering official.
News and Third-Party Clinton County Mugshots
A sheriff release or local news story may include a photo from an arrest, court appearance, prior publication, or agency handout. Check the caption and publication date. The image may not be the standardized jail booking photograph, and a story can remain online after the case status changes.
Commercial and third-party pages may hold old images without a current disposition. Treat them only as leads for the name, date, or agency. Do not treat placement on such a page as proof that a person remains jailed or that the pictured case ended in conviction. Return to the sheriff, MODOC, registry, or court source for the actual record.
Commercial mugshot publishers, data brokers, and paid-removal services should not be linked or endorsed. A demand for payment is not a substitute for correcting a source record or obtaining an expungement order.
Missouri Expungement and Clinton County Mugshots
Missouri expungement under RSMo § 610.140 is petition-based. Filing a petition does not itself close the record. An order directs named repositories to close eligible records under the law, while serious and listed offenses remain excluded. Current law generally uses different waiting periods after completion of disposition, including three years for an eligible felony and one year for an eligible misdemeanor, municipal offense, or infraction. An eligible arrest without charges has a separate timing rule, generally no earlier than eighteen months.
An expungement does not rewrite the physical fact that custody once occurred, but it can close or restrict public access to the related record. Do not work around a no-result caused by sealing or expungement through stale images. To correct an official portal image or mismatch, identify the URL, access date, booking number, disputed field, and supporting document, then ask the sheriff for written confirmation of the correction.
RSMo § 407.1150 prohibits a publisher or disseminator of criminal-record information, including a Missouri law-enforcement booking photograph, from soliciting or accepting a fee from the record subject to remove, correct, or modify it. The law does not create a universal takedown right, a photo-retention period, or a ban on lawful agency disclosure.
Verify a Clinton County Mugshot Match
Begin with the photo’s agency and record type, then match the full name, booking or DOC number, approximate age, booking date, charge jurisdiction, and case number. A visual resemblance or common name is not enough. Cameron’s split between Clinton and DeKalb Counties adds another risk: a photo tagged only “Cameron” may belong to a different booking county or to a historic state-facility reference.
